We aim to provide an enjoyable, welcoming, sociable club environment which all participants can be proud of and be recognised as a valuable community asset.
We currently field 3 league teams having consolidated our positions within Division 2 and Division 4 East. In line with our development planning we are pleased to field a new 3rd team within Division 7 East which will allow us to introduce senior league cricket to some of our up and coming young players.
Liskeard CC have a strong Junior section which provides quality coaching and participation in the Tamar Junior leagues at U11, U13 and U15 age groups in outdoor and indoor cricket. All coaches are ECB qualified up to level 2 and are members of the ECB Coaches Association, are CRB checked and have participated in child protection courses.
The club also operate a 20/20 evening league and participate with two teams, one of which incorporates juniors in a Fathers and Sons team. We also have a friendly Sunday team which plays 40 over cricket to provide a natural progression for juniors into senior cricket. We aim to maximise the quality of junior players experience by providing increasing quality coaching while also providing opportunities for people of all ages to play cricket at a level to suit them.
Women and girls training takes place seperately on a Monday night in partnership with Liskeard School & Community College and it is hoped that as numbers grow we will be able to build a female team to play competitive games. Younger girls are intergrated into the junior league teams based on age and ability.
The club is currently looking at developing it's ground and changing rooms with the aid of ECB grants to enhance it's facilities to enable us to offer a more rewarding experience to players, officials and supporters alike.
We are actively developing links with local businesses and welcome any organisations which may wish to form a partnership or sponsorship arrangement with the club.
